As you probably know, I visited
on Saturday and so I was faced with the task of choosing my festival day essentials to squeeze into my bag. Aside from the money in my bra, the iPhone in my pocket and the camera around my neck, here are the bits that saw me through the day.
A handy pocket mirror is a must have. No one is going to look perfect in the middle of a soggy field but if you have the facility to check your face for mud splatters, it's probably worth taking full advantage.
I decided to fashion an up-do to save myself carrying around a brush or looking a bit ratty after a spot of rain. Hair grips are the smallest and lightest things you could ever pop in your bag to keep your barnet tidy.
Mac Lipstick in Ruby Woo
If I'm feeling a bit washed out after a rain shower, this is guaranteed to perk me up and keep me feeling glam.
Carmex Lip Balm
I never go anywhere without some kind of lip balm. This is perfect to apply without using grubby fingers.
Sunglasses by Revo at Sunglass Hut
There's nothing worse than ending up with a headache because you've spent all day squinting. Sunglasses are one of the easiest accessories to wear too!
Antibacterial Hand Gel
I think this one speaks for itself. The lovely, fresh smell of this hand gel was a nice touch too.
Again, a bit of a no-brainer.
Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets
You can check out my previous blog post on these
. They are such a good product and get rid of any nasty shine while leaving your makeup in tact.
I regret forgetting to pop this in my bag on Saturday but that won't happen again. It's definitely essential when you're indulging in corn-on-the-cob and BBQ ribs...
Shower-proof Jacket from Primark
This is one of my all time favourite Primarni finds. It's a couple of years old now but it's very cute and it's really helpful that it comes in it's own little bag.
Pretty crucial but I'm sure there's always one that forgets...
The bag is from Warehouse several years ago. It isn't the prettiest bag but it zips up, it'sa great size, has an adjustable cross-body strap and is a neutral colour. Perfect!
