I'm a big fan of Sweaty Betty (you can find some of their gorgeous apparel on my workout wish list) and had been keen to give some of their Get Fit 4 Free classes a go for a while. Sweaty Betty's most recent #GetFit4Free initiative is Frame Rave, a high-intensity workout inspired by 80s rave-culture, created in collaboration with London fitness studio, Frame. While this campaign ran through September and is now finished in most areas, my local store has been running classes every other week, meaning that the fun is continuing into October with the next class taking place tomorrow evening.
My first Get Fit 4 Free experience was so much fun. My friend and I headed to the stunning store in the city where some of the fitnessistas meet before heading to the venue together. I was delighted to catch up with the lovely girls who work at the boutique (if you're ever in the area, drop in and say hi to them!) and could have chatted away with them all evening. However, the fun was ready to start at the gorgeous Hidden Rooms cocktail lounge and events venue.
Lights were lowered, glow sticks distributed and the class started. The music was a fantastic mix of high-BPM, recognisable tunes which were great fun to dance along to with the high-energy aerobic movements demonstrated by the fab instructor, Jo. The class was great fun and we spent a lot of time laughing!
Even if the Frame Rave classes are no longer running in your area, I urge you to head to the Sweaty Betty website and give the virtual classes a go. Just select your video (there are 4 different ones), hit play, and start the music provided. Remember to check out what other classes you can take advantage of too - my local store offers yoga, running club, bootcamps and even has an occasional guest instructor who most recently lead a nordic walking session! What classes does yours run?
