It’s frustrating. It’s overwhelming. And it can feel like a vicious cycle you’re caught in.

Your symptoms are your body’s way of communicating that something is out of balance
Many people are experiencing symptoms that don’t feel fully explained:

But the good news is that many of the issues that we experience are preventable, manageable and even reversible.
Trying to DO something about all of this is hard
We have the information but applying it isn’t straightforward
Even if you feel like you are constantly researching and absorbing information about your health, implementing it is really challenging.
It can be difficult to know how to apply information to your specific situation.
And knowing what to apply is tough because information is overwhelming and often conflicting.
Plus, because making changes takes energy, it’s extra hard when you have a lot on your plate already.
We’re seeking help but not getting what we need
Many of us have spent a lot of energy already trying to get answers, but not finding what we need. It may feel like:
Being told that our symptoms or test results are ‘normal’, even when we know something is ‘off’.
Multiple issues being dealt with separately, without enough effort put into connecting the dots.
Being given drugs to treat (‘suppress’) symptoms, without really understanding the cause.
A lack of belief and emotional support. We’ve felt judged, ‘fobbed off’, dismissed or not properly listened to.
It can feel exhausting, constantly trying. It can make us want to give up just to preserve the energy we have left.
We end up waiting
Our society and medical system tends to do a lot of ‘waiting’. We wait for symptoms to become severe until they are taken seriously.
We wait for a clinical diagnosis before considering intervention. We wait for doctors appointments, call backs, referrals, redirections, test results, diagnoses. And these things seem to be taking longer than ever.
In doing this, we are missing out on time that could be spent feeling better and, in some cases, we could avoid medical intervention altogether.
But you can take your health and wellbeing into your own hands.

You are the authority on your body.
And your body has an incredible ability to heal itself, given the right conditions.

Create the conditions for optimal health
I believe in addressing things at the root level.
Finding the root cause can sometimes involve long, complex and expensive investigations. But often, addressing the root cause can be simple; by improving the foundational components of our health, our body has the conditions it needs to restore overall balance itself.
If a plant is wilting or browning, we don’t paint the leaves; we look at the environment it's in. And usually, we can make some simple adjustments to the plant’s water, sunlight and soil and start to see some positive changes. By bringing balance to the plant’s environmental conditions, the internal conditions of the plant are brought into balance, too. And it heals surprisingly quickly.
The same is true of us.
We are nature, too.
Bring yourself into balance
Bringing our bodies back into a state of balance may involve looking at it in a way that we haven’t before.
Until now, many of us have operated from a physical paradigm of health and wellbeing. But we need to consider emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of health, too.
Our bodies are under a disproportionate amount of stress - emotional, mental and physical - brought on by our modern lifestyle.
By addressing our health holistically, removing things that are causing extra stress and overwhelm on our system, and adding things that we are missing, we can create the right conditions for your body to maintain balance without having to make so many compromises.
Sometimes it’s hard to see what needs to change, but this is where a health coach can help guide you back to yourself.
You can’t heal when you are in the same environment, doing the same things, with the same thoughts and feelings, that got you here. Something has to change if you want the state of your health to shift.
You don’t have to do it alone
You may feel like you ‘should’ be able to figure it out yourself. And with that, you may be putting more pressure on yourself and contributing to cycles of stress, perfectionism, self-judgement or guilt (which isn’t helping you to feel better).
Making change is hard. If it was easy, we’d have all done it already.
Even if changes seem simple, it doesn’t mean they are easy.
There can be a lot of thoughts and emotions involved. It’s hard to get perspective by ourselves. And sometimes we just don’t want to do it alone anymore.
Give yourself some grace. And know that you don’t have to do this alone.

Meet Natalie
I have many different stories and experiences from my health journey (which makes writing bios like this very challenging!). All of these experiences have led me to the place I’m at now - able to support other people on their health journeys with a very holistic perspective.
With a combination of complex lived experience plus extensive research, education and training, I guide you to explore what is going on in your body, and make adjustments to start feeling better.
Since birth, I have had to manage a life-long chronic health condition that has been, at times, life threatening.
Alongside medical treatments that kept me alive, I’ve used non-medical approaches and created intuitive and sustainable systems to thrive. And I always thought that if certain things can help me live a full life against the odds, they must really benefit other people’s wellbeing, too.
Alongside my genetic condition, I’ve dealt with other health challenges, too. I’ve healed from IBS, recovered from burnout, changed my career to save my health, I’m healing my nervous system and overcoming stress, anxiety, perfectionism and hypervigilance, I’ve learned to handle my sugar cravings, managed life with cystic fibrosis and diabetes, learned the impact that emotional states have on my physical health, and more.
I’ve spent my ENTIRE LIFE being curious about what my body is capable of and how I can put it into a state of healing, which has all led me here, ready to guide you to do the same.

What’s the health coaching journey?
Health coaching is a highly-personalised, collaborative partnership. How we approach things - and at what pace - will be different for each person.
This is a non-linear process and we will move back-and-forth between different phases of change in order to:
Develop deeper clarity and awareness to learn about yourself
Build self-confidence and self-trust in your ability to make changes
Use self-compassion to learn from resistance that arises
The whole journey leads to knowing yourself better and finding strategies that feel aligned with how you want your life to feel.

Coaching someone requires the belief that person already has the answers they need. The role of a coach is simply to help them navigate to find it.
If you’re looking for a ‘formal’ definition, this is how the UKIHCA describe it:
"Health and Wellness Coaching is a client-led, collaborative process that aims to promote self-management, self-empowerment and equip an individual to adapt positively to their internal and external environment to create a state of resilience through…activities and a lifestyle that cultivates their whole-health continuum." -
Health coaching is NOT intended to:
Diagnose medical issues
Prescribe (medications, supplements, rigid plans, treatment pathways)
Be an authority - YOU are the expert on your body
If there is something you need support with that is out of scope for health coaching, I will do my best to refer you on to an appropriate practitioner, such as a psychotherapist, nutritionist, physiotherapist or osteopath.

Yes, we can work together beyond a 6-month package. We can reset with a full exploration and new goals, or we can continue where we left off, if the path we set previously still feels aligned to you.
Many people feel like they want ongoing support on their health journey, and I believe everyone should feel supported. We need that as human beings.
I also hope that over time, you deepen your self-knowledge, and build trust in yourself to make the right changes for optimal health.

6-months is a good amount of time to start establishing new ways of being and doing things, around the fluctuations of everyday life.
6-months seems like a long time to some people, to get answers or change habits, but after living a certain way for many years, we need to be patient with ourselves and know that it can take time to make changes and start to see the results.
